10 Kamala Khan
Kamala Khan, who currently goes by the title of Ms. Marvel, is inspiring a brand new generation of readers. Not only will she be receiving her own Disney+ show, but she’s continuing to be a key part of the comics.
She’s even getting a starring role in the upcoming video game based on the Earth’s mightiest heroes, so it’s clear that fans and creators have a lot of faith in the body morphing teenager.
9 Miles Morales
Miles Morales has already been the subject of his own animated movie which is sure to be guaranteed more sequels and spin-offs in the future. The character even made the transition from the Ultimate Universe to Marvel 616.
The character is slowly becoming a replacement for Peter Parker as he seeks to represents teenagers once again, now that the original Spider-Man is all grown up. Don’t be surprised if he turns up in the MCU too!
8 Jane Foster
Jane Foster has been around in comics for some time, but a monumental shift happened to her when she became the new, Mighty Thor. Ever since then her stock and importance have increased dramatically.
The character will be featured further in the MCU but is now a mainstay in the universe across comics and even a Lego video game. Once a minor supporting player, she will continue to shine as the next thunder goddess.
7 Strange Academy
The students of the Strange Academy could be in for a bright future, as a number of them already stand out as potential heroes of tomorrow. There’s a wide range of characters that demonstrate how much Marvel is shifting.
The magical side of the Marvel Universe is perhaps going to be the focus of the next few years after the galactic portions of the world were the main feature of the last decade.
6 Amadeus Cho
Amadeus Cho has always been a hero on the rise and was often considered to be one of the most intelligent people in the world. He had a fun time alongside Hercules, but he’s finally been given his chance to shine.
As a new version of the green goliath, Cho’s Hulk could be exactly what the world is looking for. The character is doing very well in the comics and certainly has a lot of cross-media appeal.
5 Riri Williams
It’s been rumored for some time that Riri Williams may be getting a Disney+ show of her own, but that’s not the only reason that she’s making a real impact across the comics world.
The new wielder of the arc reactor, Ironheart is a key hero around which to build the future. Tony Stark is perhaps one of the most famous and longest-serving heroes and his successor needs to be able to carry that same torch.
4 New New Warriors
The New Warriors have always been a sign of youth, but even they have aged a lot in recent years. They’ve been around for some of Marvel’s best and worst moments.
The New New Warriors seek to be the team that fills in that role. While teams of young heroes like the Runaways have now shifted from what they once were, the New New Warriors can fill in this gap, with characters like Screentime and Snowflake representing changing times.
3 Gwen Stacy
Gwen Stacy in her original form may be no more, but that hasn’t stopped the character from crossing over into the territory of other heroes. The most obvious version of this character is Ghost-Spider, often nicknamed Spider-Gwen.
Of course, the character has also inspired the creation of Gwenpool who is an over-the-top combination of Gwen Stacy and Wade Wilson himself. It may be that there are multiple versions of Gwen Stacy over the next decade.
2 Robbie Reyes
Robbie Reyes is the newest form of the Ghost Rider and is a suitable replacement for his predecessor. While someone like Cosmic Ghost Rider certainly had appeal, he lacked longevity.
There’s a fan base growing around Robbie Reyes, in part because of his appearance in the MCU and because the comics are bringing in the character more often.
1 Sam Alexander
Sam Alexander is a younger and slightly less experienced version of the cosmic hero Nova. He’s a member of the Champions which make up a good portion of this list, partially due to their age and popularity.
Aside from the fact he will also likely make his movie debut soon, the character has a lot of energy and charisma to strap various plots and even teams onto his back, meaning he will definitely remain a key player for the far future.
