Agents of SHIELD: Chloe Bennet Quashes Quake Spinoff Rumor | CBR

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet shot down the idea that she’s getting a Disney+ spinoff in the near future centered on Quake.

Bennet, who plays S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Daisy Johnson, aka Quake, was asked about a Quake spinoff during a Q&A on Twitter, addressing rumors of a potential Secret Warriors show. The actor clarified that she had not received any such offer, writing, “I wish that were true… but they aren’t… I haven’t heard anything about that besides on twitter.”

Currently preparing for its seventh and final season, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the longest-running Marvel television show, even outlasting critically acclaimed entries like Daredevil. However, with Marvel Television being folded into Marvel Studios, existing shows like The Runaways and Cloak and Dagger have been canceled to make way for Disney+ exclusives like She-Hulk, Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel. S.H.I.E.L.D., despite existing in the canonical Marvel Cinematic Universe, has always acted separate from the films, so a Secret Warriors show featuring Bennet could have helped to bridge that divide.

Originally beginning as a hacker named Skye, Bennet’s character would awaken her Inhuman genes in Season 2, as well as the identities of her biological parents and her birth name Daisy. Since then, she adopted the Daisy Johnson identity full-time as one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s superhuman agents, mastering her quaking powers to great effect. In addition to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Bennet has voiced Quake on the animated series Marvel Rising, which features a version of the Secret Warriors.

The official synopsis for Season 7 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is below:

“The New Deal” – Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are thrust backward in time and stranded in 1931 New York City. With the all-new Zephyr set to time-jump at any moment, the team must hurry to find out exactly what happened. If they fail, it would mean disaster for the past, present and future of the world on the rip-roaring season premiere of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” airing WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 (10:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (TV-14, LV) Episodes can also be viewed the next day on demand and on Hulu.
