The Bunker served as Team Arrow‘s home base from Season 4 and onward, giving the group a place to train, gather intelligence and plan their next moves. However, it almost had a very different look than what viewers saw on the drama.
Co-creator and producer Marc Guggenheim shared a model design for a three-level bunker that ended up not being used. Apparently, it was too expensive for the show’s budget. Instead, they went with a more simple, single-level bunker design.
The Bunker was not Oliver Queen’s first base of operations. His fist Arrowcave was under his nightclub Verdant. However, the lair was eventually discovered and compromised by Captain Lance following a raid by the police. The team then moved to a second lair underneath Queen Consolidated. However, that base was discovered and destroyed by Jeremy Tell, forcing Oliver to move his operation to the Bunker.
Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen. All eight seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.
