Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Release Date, Special Editions & Pre-Order Bonuses

Return to the world of the Assassin order in Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The open-world, action-adventure game takes place during the Viking invasions of Britain, where players will take control of Eivor, a Norweigan raider.

Ubisoft Montreal assures Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will give gamers a new look at the Vikings. Eivor, for instance, can be played as either male or female — both of which had rights during this time in the 800s CE. This choice allows players to be the Eivor they want to be and help create their history.

Here’s everything that’s known about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s various buying options so far.

Ubisoft Montreal provided a release window of holiday 2020 for Valhalla. Launching between Thanksgiving and the New Year is perfect for several reasons. The holiday season is an excellent time for consumer products, as many are giving and receiving gifts. The holiday window will also allow Ubisoft Montreal to launch Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with next-gen consoles.

Currently, the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 have a release window of holiday 2020 as well. Releasing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla at that same time gives early adopters a shiny new game to play on their shiny new consoles.
