Deborah Ann Woll Has Daredevil Trending on Twitter Again | CBR

The popular Marvel Cinematic Universe Netflix series Daredevil once dominated a significant portion of mainstream attention. Since its cancelation, its name has seemingly faded. Series star Deborah Ann Woll recently managed to get the once-popular Netflix series trending on Twitter by reigniting the fanbase’s passion for the Man Without Fear.

Woll is known for playing Karen Page on all three seasons of the superhero series. She reprised her role in The Defenders and was last seen as Page in The Punisher Season 2. Although Woll has been vocal about Daredevil‘s cancelation, she is trying something other than the #SaveDaredevil campaign to remind viewers why the show should return.

Posting on Twitter, Woll attempted to break lockdown boredom and asked fans to caption an image of Page and Wilson Fisk. Woll’s original tweet soon blew up and got Daredevil trending two years after its last episode aired. Replies included everything from workplace drama to the coronavirus pandemic, whether Han shot first to the controversy surrounding Netflix canceling the series.

Since Daredevil came to an end, there has been a growing group of fans calling for the show’s return. The cast has been equally outspoken about what happened. Woll has previously expressed worry that she may never act again. The star said she has struggled to find work since the streaming giant pulled the plug on its own Marvel TV universe. Co-stars including Jon Bernthal and D’Onofrio jumped to support Woll, praising her as an actor.

Though D’Onofrio said the cast was ready for Daredevil Season 4 in 2019, there is still no sign that the fan-favorite MCU series will return. More recently, Charlie Cox cleared up several rumors and debunked the idea of him reprising his role as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man 3. Elsewhere, Cox dampened hopes that Disney’s acquisition of the characters will lead to Daredevil Season 4 and said he thinks the MCU will recast the Defenders completely.

There has been a lot of talk about Daredevil and whether it will find new life or if the MCU will start from scratch. The franchise already has a lot in store, with the promise of both the X-Men and Fantastic Four joining the expanding film universe. Evidently, that has not stopped Daredevil‘s loyal fanbase championing a reprieve for Woll, D’Onofrio, Cox and the rest.

Daredevil favorite Deborah Ann Woll has Netflix's superhero series trending again on Twitter and reminded fans why she was great as Karen Page.
