Ryan Reynolds has become synonymous with the role of Deadpool and will likely portray the character for a while yet. However, a female version of Deadpool, Wanda Wilson, does exist in the comics. It is certainly possible Headey could play this character, or another character from the Deadpool universe, in a future film.

Headey appeared in all eight seasons of Game of Thrones. She received several Emmy nominations, as well as a Golden Globe nomination, for the role. Her previous credits also include 300, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Reynolds has already starred as the Merc with a Mouth in two solo films, with a third on the way. Following Disney’s merger with Fox, the next Deadpool film will be developed through Marvel Studios. Reynolds is still attached to star.
