The InkyPen service on the Nintendo Switch has entered into an exclusive deal with Kodansha USA Publishing that will bring several manga titles to the console, including Attack on Titan, Sailor Moon, Fire Force and Battle Angel Alita.
“We’re thrilled to further bring the Kodansha Comics & VERTICAL library into the digital space through InkyPen’s digital subscriptions service.” Kodansha USA Publishing President and CEO Alvin Lu said in a statement. “We’re excited for not only InkyPen readers, but also Nintendo Switch users to have easy access to a growing number of Kodansha USA Publishing titles through this all-you-can-read service.”
Kodansha is the world’s second-largest manga publisher. Among its titles are Akira and Ghost in the Shell, both considered manga classics. Meanwhile, VERTICAL, an imprint of Kodansha, publishes fare such as the Monogatari light novels.
For $7.99 per month, InkyPen subscribers can access a massive library of comics, including titles from publishers such as Dark Horse, Valiant, IDW and Archie Comics. The service is only currently exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
Adding the Kodansha library to the service, especially after high fan demand, is sure to draw new customers and keep old ones subscribed.
InkyPen will allow readers to pour through their favorite Kodansha titles on their Nintendo Switch, including Sailor Moon and Attack on Titan.
