Filmmaker Todd Phillips, who directed, produced and co-wrote the film, shared two new sets of previously unseen behind-the-scenes photos from the movie’s production on Instagram while wishing fans well during the ongoing global health crisis.
From photos of the film’s sets to shots of Phillips interacting with the actors between filming scenes, the images offer a glimpse into the work behind the production.
Set in Gotham City before the rise of Batman, Joker follows a troubled man named Arthur Fleck, who finds his sanity steadily eroding as he attempts to launch a career in standup comedy while the city continues to fall to economic and social squalor.
