Across three films in the DC Animated Movie Universe, Taissa Farmiga has portrayed the fan-favorite Teen Titan Raven. With the shared animated cinematic universe reportedly ending with the new movie Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, so also concludes the DCAMU’s incarnation of Farmiga’s character.
In an exclusive interview with CBR, Farmiga expressed that she is absolutely open to reprising the role of Raven in the future, with the superhero holding a special, personal place for the actor.
“Raven is so endearing to me, she’s so special. You know, we were talking about her sarcasm, quick wit and candor, it’s something me, as Taissa, can appreciate after I’ve had a whiskey or two. So it’s something I appreciate to play Raven as someone that just gets to be and be who she is,” reflected Farmiga. “So I’d love to come back and, as for the audience, I hope they enjoy the movie and the ride. I got to watch the film last weekend and it’s just so fun. I know there’s a lot of dark shit and a lot of people die [laughs], but it’s a really, really enjoyable film and I love being able to be part of that.”
Farmiga previously appeared as Raven in 2016’s Teen Titans vs. Justice League and 2017’s Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. With Apokolips War, Raven more than holds her own among the DCAMU’s biggest heroes as they make their final stand against Darkseid.
Justice League Dark: Apokolips War stars Matt Ryan as John Constantine, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, Stuart Allan as Robin, Tony Todd as Darkseid, Jason O’Mara as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Christopher Gorham as the Flash, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane and Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor. The film arrives digitally May 5 and on Blu-ray May 19.
With Justice League Dark: Apokolips War closing out the DCAMU, Taissa Farmiga would love to reprise her role as Raven in the future.
