Kevin Hart, Fantastic Four Director Assemble for Superhero Comedy

Fantastic Four director Tim Story has joined Jumanji: The Next Level star Kevin Hart’s superhero comedy Night Wolf.

According to Deadline,  Story is in talks to direct the film with Detective Pikachu‘s Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit set to write the script. Just last year, it was announced Hart would star in and produce the comedy film.

The comedy is described as a “Meet the Parents-esque encounter” in which Hart “meets his future father-in-law for the first time only to discover he is secretly the superhero known as the Night Wolf.” STX Entertainment will produce Night Wolf along with Hart’s HartBeat Productions and Story’s Story Company. Sharla Sumpter Bridgett will serve as executive producer with HartBeat’s Bryan Smiley and STX’s Drew Simon set to oversee the project.

STX Entertainment’s Adam Fogelson expressed excitement over working with Story on the film. “Tim was our first choice for this project,” he stated. “His skill with both comedy and action, along with his long history of working with Kevin on both Ride Along films, both Think Like a Man films, and many of Kevin’s comedy standup event films made him uniquely suited for this material. He came in with a great take and STX and HartBeat couldn’t be more excited to get started.”
