Netflix has debuted the first trailer for the film adaptation of Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini’s Radical Publishing-turned-Image Comics series The Last Days of American Crime.
The trailer sees criminal Graham Bricke team up with Kevin Cash and Shelby Dupree to commit a major heist before a signal broadcast by the government prevents all crime. However, there’s no shortage of bullets and bloodshed along the way.
In addition to the trailer, Netflix has released an official synopsis for the film:
As a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. Graham Bricke (Edgar Ramírez), a career criminal who was never able to hit the big score, teams up with famous gangster progeny Kevin Cash (Michael C. Pitt), and black market hacker Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster), to commit the heist of the century and the last crime in American history before the signal goes off.
Directed by Oliver Megaton from a script by Karl Gajdusek, The Last Days of American Crime stars Édgar Ramírez, Michael C. Pitt, Anna Brewster, Patrick Bergin and Sharlto Copley. The film arrives on Netflix June 5.
