Current NFL free agent LeSean McCoy had the honor of seeing the Avengers take on Thanos one last time in Avengers: Endgame early. However, he drew the ire of many when he tweeted spoilers of the film before most of the world had seen it. Now, over a year later, he has finally offered an explanation.
McCoy called the tweets “the worst decision of my life,” and said that he had no idea that the franchise was so popular. “If I would have known that, I would have never tweeted that,” he told Kyle Brandt.
McCoy went on to say that, after he tweeted out the spoilers, he was accosted by older women in the grocery store who reprimanded him for spoiling the movie. “I felt terrible about that,” he added.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
