Quibi's Reno 911! Revival Gets a Premiere Date | CBR

The upcoming revival of Reno 911! has finally revealed when it will make its premiere on the new Quibi mobile streaming service.

In lieu of an official announcement, the fan-favorite TV series dropped the news of its Quibi debut on its TikTok profile page. “Official account of the Reno Sheriff’s Department!” The page reads. “New episodes on Quibi May 4!”

There is only one video on the Reno 911! TikTok page, and it features Thomas Lennon’s Lieutenant Jim Dangle performing the Boot Goof Challenge while strumming a banjo. Lieutenant Dangle climbs a star-spangled ladder and jumps feet first into a pair of cowboy boots, drawing a Perfect 10 score from the virtual judges.

Quibi officially launched on April 6, with most of its original programming coming in the form of short 10-minute videos. Though subscribers could only watch shows on mobile devices, the service has now opened up the ability to cast to television sets.

Quibi announced that Reno 911! revival in December 2019. This will mark the return of creators/stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, along with Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon and Niecy Nash.

Reno 911! premieres May 4 on Quibi.
