Star Wars Barbies Give Rey Skywalker, C-3PO and Others a New Look

Barbie has teamed up with Star Wars to bring fans new takes on some popular characters from the series.

The new line features three Barbie dolls based on the characters of Rey Skywalker, C-3PO, Leia Organa, R2-D2, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. While having character dolls that look similar to their designs in the film, these new dolls take a more creative approach.

Each Barbie has hairstyles and clothes that are a fashion interpretation of their original costume designs. For example, Rey’s look is a more classic up-do that is vaguely inspired by her classic hair buns in the film. She also wears a white dress instead of a pantsuit. The Stormtrooper doll has a mod look with a bob hairstyle and futuristic feel, and the re-imagined C-3PO look features a gold dress that is reminiscent of the disco era. Every doll comes with a stand as well as a certificate of authenticity.

For both children and adult fans, these stylish Barbies are something to add to their collection. The dolls aren’t available yet, but they are set to release in July of this year. However, for fans who want to ensure they get their hands on this new collection, it’s possible to pre-order the collection of six new Barbies now.
