Season 5 of Supergirl has seen Brainiac 5 (Jesse Rath) enter into a covert alliance with Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) in order to defeat the ancient organization known as Leviathan. However, that alliance has cost Brainy his relationship with Nia Mal/Dreamer (Nicole Maines), and now it may cost him his life.
In an interview with CBR, Rath discussed how Brainy is going through emotional turmoil and how that might compromise him.
“…In terms of what’s to come in these next two episodes, I’m not saying you should expect a bunch of Brainy cycling through a bunch of personalities, but things get just as intense and emotions are high and the situation is very dangerous,” Rath said. “There are some epic scenes to come, and I think you’ll be happy with it and I’m very excited for everyone to see. I’m very excited to it see myself!”
Rath has also teased that Brainy and Lex have a fierce confrontation, and the billionaire is not forgiving of people who double cross him. Even if Season 5 is ending prematurely due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Rath’s comments do not bode well for the Legionnaire.
Airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers. The Season 5 finale will air May 17.
Supergirl star Jesse Rath says that the final two episodes of the show's fifth season will place a character in mortal peril.
