The Batman Concept Model Showcases the New Batmobile's Details

New photos of a concept model of the Batmobile from Matt Reeves’ The Batman have surfaced online.

The vehicle designs were posted on the fan account @TheBatRobert, from the website of concept model maker Jeff Frost. Three of the images show a boxy, two-seater muscle car colored gun-metal black, with extra-wide tires and a battering ram built into the front bumper.

The fourth image, taken from the rear, shows a different vehicle that’s low-slung and has flaring rear fenders, with part of the engine exposed. It also has a trio of round safety lights attached just below the roof and two singular taillights. This differs from the vehicle in the other photos, which has a wide rear bumper and a strip of white, rectangular taillights.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused a production delay on The Batman, but authorities in the United Kingdom recently developed safety standards allowing filming to resume.

Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. The film arrives in theaters Oct. 1, 2021.
