Though he’s been provided with some exercise equipment, The Batman‘s Robert Pattinson has revealed that he hasn’t done much working out since production shut down.
Pattinson spoke about other actors’ workout habits in GQ, saying, “I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem. You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the ’70s. Even James Dean—he wasn’t exactly ripped.” Later, he admitted, “Literally, I’m just barely doing anything.”
While he’s not working out, the actor is still sticking to his diet. “I’m essentially on a meal plan for Batman,” Pattinson added. “Thank God. I don’t know what I’d be doing other than that. But I mean, yeah, other than—I can survive. I’ll have oatmeal with, like, vanilla protein powder on it.”
Pattinson doesn’t seem to be focusing much on his exercise regimen, though costar Zoe Kravitz has said that she is continuing to train despite being in quarantine. Meanwhile, The Batman has still not started back production after halting in March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Much of The Batman‘s plot has been kept a secret, though star Andy Serkis recently revealed the film is darker than any previous Batman movies.
Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. The film is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on Oct. 1, 2021.
The Batman star Robert Pattinson admitted he has better things to do than getting ripped during his time in quarantine.
