The conference will be held on July 12 at 12 PM PDT, and Ubisoft has promised “exclusive gaming news” and “exciting reveals.” The announcement also included a trailer for the event, which while light on specific details, did give an idea as to the message that the company was trying to convey by emphasizing various actors and video game characters moving/jumping/running forward. At this time, it’s unclear what might be revealed at Ubisoft Forward, though the company has a variety of popular franchise about which there could be news.
Ubisoft certainly isn’t the first company to hold a presentation like this. Even before the current pandemic caused events like E3 to be canceled, Nintendo has used Nintendo Directs to communicate information about its upcoming releases to gamers for years. Microsoft also held its own showcase last week with “Inside Xbox,” an event that revealed more information about upcoming Ubisoft game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest in the studio’s flagship series of action-adventure games.
Ubisoft has announced it will be holding its own press conference as a result of E3's cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
