Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Heads to PlayStation | CBR

Playstation VR users will soon be able to travel to a galaxy far, far away. The complete Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will be available for the PS4 this summer.

“The team is hard at work getting the story up and running for PS VR, and we can’t wait for you all to experience it and meet Vader face to face,” ILMxLab’s executive creative producer Mike S. Miller said in a statement. “We’ll have more to share in the coming months.”

Featuring a story from executive producer David S. Goyer (Batman Begins), Vader Immortal focuses on the titular Sith Lord as he attempts to resurrect his wife Padmé using a device called the Aeon Engine. Players assume the role of a smuggler, who ends up in possession of a lightsaber. The game was developed by ILMxLab and consists of three episodes, all of which released in 2019.

Vader Immortal has won several awards, including Best AV/VR Game at the 2020 GDC Awards and the Producers Guild Innovation Award earlier this year.

There is currently no release date for the Playstation VR version of Vader Immortal.
